The below mentioned function is apparently I use in all mobile phones. If this message is passed on to as many people as possible, the theft of mobile phones could be reduced substantially. Every mobile phone has its own, one of a kind serial number.
This number can be accessed as follows: *#06# this will bring up the serial number onto the mobile phone.
Write down this number and keep it safe. If your mobile phone is stolen, you need to report this number to your dealer or manufacturer, and they can block the mobile phone, also when the thief is using a new SIM card.
Through this you do not get your phone back, but the thief(s) can’t use the mobile anymore. If all mobile phones owners would do this it would for sure cut down on thefts since it is not worth it anymore to steal mobile phones.
